Install and run apps

Apps install on the appliance, from the LocalOne dashboard — not from this website. The site only shows what is in the catalog so you know what to expect.

Before you start

Install from the dashboard

  1. Open Apps → Available Apps.
  2. Open an app → read ports, features, and required folders → View details if present.
  3. Click Install. LocalOne fetches signed scripts from the store, verifies checksums / Ed25519 signatures, then runs install.sh on the box.
  4. Fill essentials (media path, timezone, toggles) when prompted — paths should live on mounted volumes you care about backing up.
  5. Use the installed card to Open the app (usually https://<subdomain>.<hostname>.local), or follow the onboarding guide if the app ships one.

Update / configure / remove

CLI checks on the appliance

# Running containers (names vary by app)
docker ps --format 'table {{.Names}}\t{{.Status}}\t{{.Ports}}'

# Store reachability from the appliance
curl -fsS -o /dev/null -w '%{http_code}\n' \
  https://marketplace.getlocalone.com/api/apps

# Control plane logs while installing
journalctl -u localone-control-plane.service -f

Some apps you might install

Highlights only — your dashboard shows the full list. Jump to a name, then install from the steps above.
